Lunges are commonly recommended among lower body workouts but pistol squat a great variation tha will give your workout the diversity it needs.

Begin with your body standing straight and arms extended horizontally. Ensure that your arms are parallel to the ground and then slowly raise one of your legs up and slowly take the sitting position without letting your butt touch the ground. While you are moving your body down, keep your leg as well as arms straight and then move back up. Now, extend your other leg and repeat.
