Creatine synthesis primarily takes place in the kidney and liver. The synthesis is the bio-synthesis of two amino acids : amino acids glycine and arginine. After the synthesis, Creatine is being transported to the muscle via blood. It is this Creatine that increase maximum power and performance in high-intensity anaerobic repetitions by 5 to 15%. Intake of Creatine increase the level of phosphocreatine, a nutrient that serves as a rapidly mobilizable reserve of high energy phosphates in skeletal muscle and brain. Also there have been some studies showing that with optimum dosage it has reduced body-fat also.
